This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 3”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: Steve Jobs was a Billionaire, at his death; and he was the founder of Apple. Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) and, as God, the Creator of the Universe.
From his death bed, Steve Jobs wrote his perspective on his life in comparison to his impending death. Earthly death is a fact which we all must face. On the other hand, Jesus gives us his perspective on human death, earthly life, and Eternal Life (John 11: 25– 26): “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.”.
In our message today, Archbishop Beach provides a summary of these two different perspectives on living our earthly lives while always considering that our earthly death is inevitable. However, for those of us that follow Jesus, earthly death is only the predecessor event for our Eternal Life.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Past Failures. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Grace. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
Scripture Reference (ESV): John 11: 25– 26; 1 John 5:10-12; Psalms 101:1-8.

The Real Miracle of the Cross Is for Those Who Believe Its Message
Wednesday Apr 18, 2018
Wednesday Apr 18, 2018
This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 3”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: The real miracle of the Cross today is for those who enter a relationship with Jesus and know the presence of God in their life. Those taking advantage of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross experience the removal of their sinful guilt, and they know the joy of a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ. Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross is for all who believe. As Paul tells us in Romans 1:16: “For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.". Without God’s Grace through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and Jesus Resurrection, Christianity would have no meaning; and we would have no pathway to a personal relationship with God, in our earthly lives, and Eternal Life after our earthly death.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be anxious. (Philippians 4:6f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:14).
Scripture Reference (ESV): Romans 8:1-11; Luke 24 36-49; John 20:11-18; Psalms 100:1-5.

Those that Believe in Jesus Have the Right to Become Children of God

Tuesday Apr 17, 2018
This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 3”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: By accepting Jesus, we can be born of the Holy Spirit and have our sins forgiven by His sacrificial death on the cross. Paul explains, in Philippians 3:9b-12, that Jesus “has made me His own”: “but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Straining Toward the Goal. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.”. Amidst suffering and loss; economic uncertainty; and family crises, we can still celebrate and rejoice because we know that He has given us life and life eternal. We know that God is with us and He will never leave us.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Addictions. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Self-Control. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
Scripture Reference (ESV): Philippians 3:7-12; John 5:24; Matthew 28:19-20; Psalms 99:1-9.

If Jesus Had Not Been Raised from Death, Our Faith Is Useless
Sunday Apr 15, 2018
Sunday Apr 15, 2018
This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 3”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: What does the Resurrection of Jesus the Christ have to do with us? Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15:13-14, summarizes the implications of Jesus’ death if His resurrection had not occurred: “But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.". Because of what God did in raising Jesus from the dead, we have forgiveness of our sins -- the crucifixion was not complete until the Sacrificial Limb, Jesus, passed over death and was resurrected. In Mark 16:16, Jesus tells the Apostles before His Ascension the implications of our belief or non-belief on our eternal life: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.".
Today’s Affirmation: Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Hatred. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Love. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! (Luke 11:13).

Knowing You, the Only True God, and Jesus the Christ Whom You Sent
Saturday Apr 14, 2018
Saturday Apr 14, 2018
This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 2”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/
Message Summary: Knowing God and having that personal relationship with Him is summarized in John 17:3: “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.". This personal relationship with God, and knowing Him in our lives, renders everything else in our lives insignificant, as Jesus’ interchange with the Apostle Peter, in Matthew 16:13-18, exemplifies: “he {Jesus}asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say that the Son of Man is?’ And they said, ‘Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter replied, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ And Jesus answered him, ‘Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’”. You are known by God; but do you know Him?
Scripture Reference (ESV): John 17:2-3; Philippians 3:7-10; Matthew 16:13-20; Psalms 96:1-13.

God is Love -- Agape Love
Wednesday Apr 11, 2018
Wednesday Apr 11, 2018
This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 2”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: We are made in the image of God; therefore, we are supposed to be perfect mirrors of God's Agape Love (i.e. self-sacrificing love). In 1 John 4:16-17 (The New Testament book of 1 John is believed to have been written by the Apostle John, author of the “Gospel of John”.), John tells us about God’s Love: “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world." Sin is our failure to act as our God of Agape Love acts -- the opposite of Agape Love is our self-love. Also, in 1 John 4:18-19, John presents us with the fruits of Agape Love, within the context of God’s model for Agape Love: “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us.".
Today’s Affirmation: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Inadequacy. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Abundance. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
Scripture Reference (ESV): Psalms 51:1-2; Romans 5:2-5; Romans 8:31-39; Psalms 94:1-23.

God Has Given Us Eternal Life Through His Son
Tuesday Apr 10, 2018
Tuesday Apr 10, 2018
This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 2”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: We have eternal life through God’s Son, Jesus. When we do not have the Son of God, we do not have eternal life; but when we have the Son of God, we have eternal life. Jesus’ death and resurrection not only transforms our lives; His death transforms our deaths – the grave is no longer the end. Cancer is not the end and getting old is not the end. As Paul tells us in Romans 5:18-19: “Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.". Our decision for how we lead our earthly life determines both the end states of our remaining earthly life and our eternal life – either our lives are with God or without God.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, Nothing compares with knowing Jesus. (Philippians 3:7f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:14).
Scripture Reference (ESV): Romans 6:19-23; Matthew 19:25-30; Galatians 6:6-10; Psalms 93:1-5.

Jesus Claimed to Be the Divine Son of God
Tuesday Apr 10, 2018
Tuesday Apr 10, 2018
This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 2”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: Jesus claimed to be the unique, divine Son of God; therefore, Jesus is on an equal footing with God. He said that He would one day judge the world, and how we responded to Him, in our lives, would determine how we would be judged. The Apostle John summarizes, in John 20:27-29, the interchange between Jesus and the Apostle Thomas when Thomas realizes who Jesus, the man that he had been following for years, is: “Then he said to Thomas, ’Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe’ Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”. Since we as followers of Jesus have not seen Jesus or His wounds, do we believe through our faith and are we able, by our faith, to say: “My Lord and my God!”? If not, why not?
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
Scripture Reference (ESV): 2 Timothy 4:1; Matthew 1:1; Matthew 14:31-33; Psalms 92:1-15.
