God Will Be Worshiped in Spirit and in Truth
Friday May 11, 2018
Friday May 11, 2018
Message Summary: As Jesus, in John 4:23-26, tells the woman of Samaria by the well: “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to him, ‘I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.’ Jesus said to her, ‘I who speak to you am he.’”. Not just God but the Father will be worshiped in Spirit and in Truth. The father desires the kind of worshipers that worship in the Holy Spirit and worshipers that worship in Truth – not a façade but a reality and an honesty before God. God is Spirit, and His worshippers must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth because Jesus told us, in John 14:6: “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’". We serve a God who is Spirit, in His essence, as well as The Truth.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Inconsistencies. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Faithfulness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

We Are Given Gifts by God
Thursday May 10, 2018
Thursday May 10, 2018
Message Summary To each one of us, Grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. As Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12:4-6: “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.”. Just because one of us has a certain gift, it does not mean that your gift is not just as important in the Body of Christ. While some in the church teach that some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit have faded away and are no longer needed. “Says who?” The Bible teaches that all gifts are needed and are necessary if the Body of Christ to function properly. The Apostle Peter tells us, in 1 Peter 4:10, how we, as followers of Jesus, should consider our gifts from God: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.".
Today’s Affirmation: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Inadequacy. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Abundance. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Does the Gospel Mean Much to Us?
Wednesday May 09, 2018
Wednesday May 09, 2018
Message Summary: What have we, personally, sacrificed for the Gospel? Some of us have lost jobs, friendships, and family members because of our faith. What have you sacrificed for the gospel? We cannot earn our Salvation by our actions like standing up for our faith – Salvation is provided by God though His Grace and our faith. Paul, in Philippians 2:8-11, posits the Gospel’s intended impact for followers of Jesus: “And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.". However, there is a joy to us when we sacrifice something in our lives for Jesus and the Gospel rather than always living for ourselves. What have you sacrificed for the Gospel – Jesus gave His all for you?
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, Nothing compares with knowing Jesus. (Philippians 3:7f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:14).

Our Country Has Always Been About “Freedom of Religion”
Tuesday May 08, 2018
Tuesday May 08, 2018
Message Summary: Our country is NOT about “freedom from religion”. Sadly, because of our abandoning God’s Laws, all of us in this country are affected – Christians and non-Christians; atheists; and followers of other religious faiths. As Jesus says in Mathew 5:45: “. . . For He makes the sun rise on the evil and the good, and send the rain on the just and the unjust.”. What can we do? The first thing we can do is pray and to fast – pray and ask God to turn our country around. We do want God involved, and He is involved. In Daniel 4:24-25, God told King Nebuchadnezzar, through Daniel’s interpretation of the King’s dream, that God is always in control; and that He determines those who govern us: “this is the interpretation, O king: It is a decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king, that you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.". God, the Creator of the Universe, responds to our prayers.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Am I Ready for Something Spiritually to Happen in My Life?
Monday May 07, 2018
Monday May 07, 2018
Message Summary: Many do not see much spiritually going on in their lives, and they must ask the question: “Am I ready for something spiritual to happen in my life; am I dressed and ready for service?”. Are we ready to say: “Lord, here am I; send me.”? The call of the Holy Spirit to us may be diverse: becoming a missionary in a third world country to being a Christian business leader to taking a stand for Jesus that is not politically correct. Can you be as ready as Isaiah when he said: “I heard the voice of the Lord: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said: ‘Lord, here am I; send me.’”? If not, why not?
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (including me). From Romans 1:16.

Sunday May 06, 2018
Message Summary: Are our governmental leaders leading us off the cliff, or have they already led us of the cliff? The related uncertainty in our economic system has brought fear, anger and hostility to millions of Americans. As Christians, we can look to John14 in which Jesus tells us "Let not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me.". In times like these, we can be reminded of where are loyalties are or where our loyalties should be. Also, in times of uncertainty, our intimacy with God can be deepened -- God is still on the throne of the Universe.
Today’s Affirmation: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD’S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Are You Correctly Advantaging God’s Gifts to You for Life’s Fullness?
Friday May 04, 2018
Friday May 04, 2018
Message Summary: Most of us are living our lives “above our capacity for fullness” – at a level with no space or extra. Therefore, we bring on chaos in our lives producing feelings of being overwhelmed by events; exhausted on an emotional level and physically debilitated. Spirituality, we become wimps. Paul, in Ephesians 4:15-16, tells us about how God has equipped the followers of Jesus: “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.". When we don’t live our lives with the fullness that God as provided us, we are wounding the cause of Jesus; and we are hurting ourselves.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Evil Ways. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Goodness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

God is in the Healing Business
Thursday May 03, 2018
Thursday May 03, 2018
Message Summary: From Isaiah 53:4-5: “Surely he has borne our grief and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes {i.e. wounds} we are healed.”. What Jesus did for us brings healing to the body as well. God is in the healing business, and He desires to bring healing to our lives. In Matthew 8:16-17, Jesus healed many at Peter’s house fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy: “That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: ‘He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.’”.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Lust. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Perfect Provision. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Judgment is Going to Come at Our Death or Sooner; How Should We Respond Now?
Tuesday May 01, 2018
Tuesday May 01, 2018
Message Summary: Jesus tells us about Judgment in John 5:25,29: “Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live . . . and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.". Since Judgment is coming, are you doing all you can to keep your relationship with the Lord growing? Given certain Judgment for all, a primary purpose of the Church is to lead people into a growing relationship with the Lord. We must be constantly grow and nurture our faith in Jesus. There is a day when we will all be judged by the Lord – don’t you think you can wait until the last minute to have a real relationship with Jesus.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will serve others. (Philippians 2:3f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:14).
