Are You Glad that You Aren’t a Sinner Like Your Neighbors and Colleagues?
Sunday Dec 22, 2019
Sunday Dec 22, 2019
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! (Luke 11:13).

Do You “Live Your Life In Christ”?
Friday Dec 20, 2019
Friday Dec 20, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: If we are to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for us – God has work for us; it is real work. The spiritual life is work – it is fruitful labor. Also, Godly conduct is a necessity to live in Christ as we are instructed in Philippians 1:27: “Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ . . .”. Not only does God have a work for us, we have a witness for Him through our actions, words, and our attitudes, which constantly reflect who and what God is in our lives. Paul, in 1 Thessalonians 2:10-12, succinctly presents what it means for a follower of Jesus “to live in Christ”: “To be a witness, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers. For you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Inconsistencies. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Faithfulness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Do You Know God in a Personal Way? If Not, Why Not?
Thursday Dec 19, 2019
Thursday Dec 19, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: There is a difference in knowing about someone and really knowing them. The New Covenant permits us to know the Lord in a personal way and not just to know about the Lord. This means to know the Lord God was fulfilled in Jesus the Christ. In Romans 8:26, Paul tells us that the pathway for knowing God, personally, is through our prayers; and the Holy Spirit is with us to help us with our prayers: “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.". There is a great deal of difference in knowing about God through study and knowing God by developing a personal relationship with Him through our prayers and the New Covenant that is in Jesus. The Apostle John, in John 1:1-5, clearly identifies that Jesus is the “Word” {God} who is the Creator of the Universe: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.". Therefore, God’s Grace, through Jesus, has given us the opportunity to have a personal relationship with our Triune God (i.e. God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit). Jesus provides this opportunity for you to have a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe, who can become the cornerstone of your life. Have you established your personal relationship with God? If not, why not?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Inadequacy. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Abundance. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Do You Delight Yourself in Your Personal Relationship with God?
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: As the Psalmist tells us in Psalms 37:4: “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.". Delighting yourself in the Lord does not mean a new car if you so desire. It does mean that if we are delighting in our relationship with the Lord, it will be His desires that fill our heart with His will for us. As we are told in Deuteronomy 30:9-10: “The LORD your God will make you abundantly prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground. For the LORD will again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers, when you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, when you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.". The desires of our heart come to us when we delight ourselves in the Lord – not in the world; not in ourselves; or not in what is going on in our lives outside of our relationship with the Lord.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, Nothing compares with knowing Jesus. (Philippians 3:7f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).

Are You a Sinner Who Has Reached Out to Your Savior, Jesus the Christ?
Tuesday Dec 17, 2019
Tuesday Dec 17, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: We are all sinners, but we now have a Savior – Jesus. As Paul tells us, in 1 Timothy 1:15-16, that the Gospel provides Salvation for all followers of Jesus, including the worst of sinners -- Paul: “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.". Also, Paul, in 1 Timothy 2:3b-6, further points out that God wants all of us to be saved by His Grace through Jesus if we only, as sinners like Paul, reach out to bring Jesus into our lives: God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.”. It is only because of Jesus the Christ that we receive the healing that we need. “I am a sinner who now has a Savior – do you”?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

DEVOTIONAL VIDEO
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
Praying with Perseverance (Fowery Parish; Cornwall, UK)
Prayer is: 1) spending time with God – acknowledging God’s presence in all our lives’ activities; and 2) conversation with God – listening to and talking with God. Prayer reflects on our relationship with God. Many Christians, today, don’t Have an active Prayer Life. Why don’t we pray. The Apostle James, in James 4:2-3, provides a perspective regarding Prayer Life: “You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.". We need to pray and pray consistently and to pray with persistency – God wants a personal relationship with us through prayer.
Jesus’ parable, in Luke 18:1-8 {Luke 18:1}, is about both faith and prayer. In this text from Luke, Jesus speaks about the power of persistent prayer: “And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.". Additional lessons, that we can learn from this parable, include: 1) God is more ready to answer prayer than we are ready to pray; and 2) we must be persistent in our prayers until we have an answer.
Pray specific prayers, in the Holy Spirit and in Scripture, for ourselves and for others -- be persistent.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Loneliness. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Presence. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Is “Doubt” Invading Your “Faith”?
Sunday Dec 15, 2019
Sunday Dec 15, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: While we are holding onto our faith, we need to remember the faithfulness of God. When the Apostles question Jesus about faith and prayer, Jesus tells the Apostles, in Mathew 21:21-22, that our faith is powerful and that God will respond to our faith: “And Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.’”. Let us hold, unswervingly, to the hope and faith we profess because God, who promised us, is faithful – God will never leave you or forsake you. When the difficulties arise; and you are tempted to walk away from your faith. because you are tempted to doubt God, remember that God is faithful. Don’t give up your faith!
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FORGIVEN. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9).

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel. I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (including me). (From Romans 1:16).

Friday Dec 13, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: To each one of us, Grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. As Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12:4-6: “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.”. Just because one of us has a certain gift, it does not mean that your gift is not just as important in the Body of Christ. While some in the church teach that some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit have faded away and are no longer needed. “Says who?” The Bible teaches that all gifts are needed and are necessary if the Body of Christ to function properly. The Apostle Peter tells us, in 1 Peter 4:10, how we, as followers of Jesus, should consider our gifts from God: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.". In addition to God’s gift of your Salvation, through your Faith and His Grace, what other personal gifts Has God given you?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Evil Ways. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Goodness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
