MESSAGE SUMMARY: We all sin, and sometimes you may perceive your sin to be so horrendous that you think your life is lost to God’s willingness to forgive you; therefore, you believe that you are lost to God’s Salvation. If you repent to God of your sins and return to God in your life, He will return to you. Whenever we fall into sin, do we repent and return to the Lord? Hopefully, our answer is: "I will, with God's help.". Our God wants us to return to Him because He loves us -- He is a covenant God. In Malachi 3:7, God admonishes His people who have turned away from Him; but God promises His return to His people if they return to Him: “From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’". However, Malachi asks the question: “How shall we return?”. Joel 2:12-13 provides the Lord’s answer to Malachi’s question: “’Yet even now,’” declares the LORD, ‘return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments. Return to the Lord our God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and He relents over disaster.’”. The Lord wants to meet you where you are and to bring His Grace to you. In Matthew 26:27-28, Jesus confirms His Covent relationship with you: "And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.’”. If you return to God in your life, He will return to you.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FORGIVEN. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Malachi 2:4-6; Malachi 3:1-5; Matthew 26:27-29; Psalms 15:1-5.

MESSAGE SUMMARY: “God gave us eternal life, and this {Eternal} life is in his Son {Jesus}. Whoever has the Son has {Eternal} life.” (1 John 5:11). Jesus tells us, in John 5:25-27,that: “Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.”. If you believe in the name of the Son of God {Jesus}and know the Lord, you can be assured of forgiveness and salvation because of God’s Grace, Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross; and His Resurrection. As the author of 1 John tells us in 1 John 5:10-12: “Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.". Jesus is the only Way to Eternal Life.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel. I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (including me). (From Romans 1:16).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Romans 1:16-17; Matthew 26:28; John 5:25-27; Psalms 9a:1-10.

MESSAGE SUMMARY: As Christians but in our non-Christian behavior: we are mean; we are angry; we are judgmental; and we are selfish and self-centered. Also, in our non-Christian behavior, we are often in bondage to debt, drugs, and extramarital sex. In all these non-Christian behaviors, we are not different from the unbeliever next door. Therefore, we are not very different from God’s people in the time of Hosea described in Hosea 11:7,10-11: “My people are bent on turning away from me, and though they call out to the Most High, he shall not raise them up at all . . . They shall go after the LORD; he will roar like a lion; when he roars, his children shall come trembling from the west; they shall come trembling like birds from Egypt, and like doves from the land of Assyria, and I will return them to their homes, declares the LORD.". We need to ask ourselves: “Am I being faithful to Jesus Christ; what needs to change in me and my life; and how am I disobeying the Lord?”. If enough of us get serious with God, then, perhaps, God will heal us and this land. When we, as both individual Christians and as a country, turn to the Lord, will we hear God’s call and answer as in Isaiah 6:8: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’”. Will you answer God’s call to become a part of the solution, as a follower of Jesus, to address all that is broken around you and in this land with: “Here am I God, send me”?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Evil Ways. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Goodness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Hosea 11:1-11; Isaiah 6:8-13; Matthew 13:13-17; Psalms 13:1-6.

MESSAGE SUMMARY: As a follower of Jesus, you have a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe; and you can talk to God like you talk with your father. Remember, God loves you. Imagine climbing up into His lap and imagine Him wrapping His arms around you – He is God your loving father. As God tells you in 2 Samuel 7:14-15: “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men, but my steadfast love will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you.". You need to start talking with God as the best dad there could ever be. Talk with Him about your life; your concerns; and your needs. You need to ask God for His counsel, and you need to ask Him questions regarding His will for your life.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Lust. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Perfect Provision. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Romans 1:7; Matthew 6:7-15; 2 Corinthians 6:18; Psalms 12:1-8.

God Wants a Personal Relationship with You
Wednesday Feb 05, 2020
Wednesday Feb 05, 2020
MESSAGE SUMMARY: The idea of an intimate relationship is to truly know someone; and you are given the privilege of knowing God, the Creator of the Universe. You are given the privilege of being close to Him and to have a personal and dynamic relationship with the God of the Universe. Your relationship is made possible through Jesus the Christ. Paul, in Romans 8:37-39, succinctly defines God’s uncompromising love for you through His personal relationship with you: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.". Jesus puts the Holy Spirit in your life so that you can commune and have personal fellowship with God -- the most intimate relationship on earth.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will serve others. (Philippians 2:3f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): 1 Corinthians 11:25; Colossians 2:2-3; John 10:25-30; Psalms 11:1-7.

Jesus’ Resurrection Validates Your Faith
Tuesday Feb 04, 2020
Tuesday Feb 04, 2020
MESSAGE SUMMARY: What does the Resurrection of Jesus the Christ have to do with you? Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15:13-14, summarizes the implications of Jesus’ death if His resurrection had not occurred: “But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.". Because of what God did in raising Jesus from the dead, we have forgiveness of our sins -- the crucifixion was not complete until the Sacrificial Limb, Jesus, passed over death and was resurrected. In Mark 16:16, Jesus tells the Apostles before His Ascension the implications of our belief or non-belief on our eternal life: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Despair. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Joy. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

DEVOTIONAL VIDEO
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
Feeding of the 5000 (St. Andrews Episcopal Church; Ft, Worth, TX)
Like Jesus and in order to receive what God knows that we require, we need to move our focus away from our personal desires and perceived needs onto the real needs of others. After John the Baptizer had been beheaded by King Herod, the Apostles that told Jesus of this news and suggested that they get away from the crowds of people into a desolate area in which they could rest and pray. However, a large crowd of people followed Jesus and His Apostles onshore at the area in which they wished to rest. Jesus had compassion on the people that had followed Him; therefore, He began teaching, in Mark 6:34, to a very large group. When Jesus’ teachings carried on late into the evening, His Apostles suggested that Jesus send the crowd away into the villages to buy food. Rather, Jesus asked His Apostles to determine how much food was on hand in the crowd; and they determined that they had five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus blessed this food and, in Mark 6: 42-44, all the crowd ate from this food: “And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.".
In Mark’s teaching regarding the miraculous feeding of the 5,000, we see that Jesus’ compassion for the people over road His personal need to grieve for the death of John the Baptizer and to rest. Jesus began, immediately, to minister to the people. When we move our focus away from ourselves and to a “outward focus”, we become free to hear and to receive from God. As in Jesus’ feeding of the 5,000, God desires that we look to Him; to take what He has given us; and to give to those in need. No matter where you are or in what context of your life’s involvement that you find yourself, you need to be willing to be broken vessel for use by God for His purposes.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Fear. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Faithfulness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Mark 6:31; Mark 6:34; Mark 6:41; Mark 6:43; Psalms 46:1-11.

MESSAGE SUMMARY:
Your sinful life is redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus' sacrifice -- a Lamb without blemish or defect. It is not with perishable things like silver or gold that your life is redeemed by God, as the Apostle Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1:3b-6a: “. . . he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice . . .". Jesus fulfilled God's New Covenant, which like God’s First Covenant with Abraham, called for the blood sacrifice of a perfect sacrificial Lamb. This sacrifice, of the New Covenant, was fulfilled for us through Jesus' Crucifixion and Resurrection. Jesus, as described by Paul, in 1 Corinthians 11:24-26, instituted the Passover meal for us through the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Through Communion, we remember Jesus’ substituting His death for all our sins as Jesus’ sacrificed His life for our lives – Jesus, our perfect sacrificial lamb, the Pascal Lamb, in His words of the first Holy Communion: “and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, ‘This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM A CHILD OF GOD. Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. (John 1:12f).
