With New Fears Entering Your Life Today, Ask Jesus to Walk With You and With America
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
1 Because the Lord is your helper and confident, you have no reason to be anxious or afraid. What can man or earthly catastrophes do to you? For this confidence, you must know who Jesus is – both in your heart and in your mind. He is the Son of God – God in the flesh. As Paul tells you in Philippians 4:4: “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.". Therefore, you do not have to worry about troubling circumstances in your life because you know that He is with you; and He will guide you no matter how dark your life seems. Jesus is the light that shines in darkness.
As Jesus tells you in Luke 12:4-5, when we have anxiety and fear in our lives, is this anxiety derivative of the right kind of fear: “I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!”. Why not give God a chance to walk with you in all your life situations -- good and bad, especially when you are faced with life’s tragedies and the anxieties that result from just living your life? Jesus can turn troubling life situations and your fears into results that you cannot fathom or understand. Ultimately, the Psalmist got it right in Psalm 23:4: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Self-Centeredness. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Love. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Philippians 4:4-9; Mathew 6:25-34; Psalm 23:1-6; Psalms 87:1-7

God’s “Call to You” IS a “Call From God to You”; Are You Ready? No “Call from God” Is Too Big or Too Small for You
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
No interaction with the Holy Spirit is too small for you or for God, and no Spiritual outcomes are too big for you or for God. Jesus illustrates, in the “Parable of the Mustard Seed", that big things come from small beginnings. The selection, by Jesus, of His initial twelve Apostles, led to the growth of Christianity from twelve followers to more than two billion Christians. So, when God gives you a vision or He puts on your heart to start a ministry or to visit the home bound; and you think the Spirit’s is so small or inconsequential, just remember small beginnings lead to significant outcomes through the Lord. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commissions and promises His support to His Apostles and to us; therefore, how can any call, from the Holy Spirit, be too inconsequential or unsupported for us to embrace: “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’” Pray, listen, and be patient. After all, you have a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe!
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Matthew 20:1-16; Philippians 2:21-30; Matthew 25:34-46; Psalms 37b:11-20.

As a Christian, You Have the Means to Live, Through the Presence of God in Your Life, Like No Others
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
Living in the Holy Spirit sets you apart from Your fellow human beings who are living without Jesus. Most of us had great passion in our lives as we approached the age to get our driver’s license or the age of eighteen when we would be an “adult”. Why don’t we have the same kind of passion about our spiritual life or our life in living the Gospel in a personal relationship with God? Why don’t we want to grow up and mature in the Lord? As Paul tells us, in Titus2:11-13, you must focus on living a Godly life while, also, living your life in the Holy Spirit: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”. You have the capacity to live like no one else because you have the presence of God in your life through the person of God’s gift to you as a follower of Jesus, the Holy Spirit.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD’S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Titus2:11-15; 2 Timothy 3:2-7; Mark 11:15-19; Psalms 35a:1-14.

For Followers of Jesus, God Changes Your Thinking and Your Attitudes – He Gives You A New Heart
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
God is interested in your heart; He wants you to have a righteous heart. God makes you a new creation through your new created heart being indwelled by the Holy Spirit in your life – God changes your thinking and your attitudes. In Romans 8:26-27, Paul describes the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in followers of Jesus resulting in a new person, with a new heart, in Jesus: “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.". The salt and light of you, as a Follower of Jesus, comes from your righteousness – not just in your deeds and appearance but, also, through your inner person – I other words your new heart.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will entrust to Him my future. I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day (From 2 Timothy 1:12).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Proverbs 3:1-7; Romans 2:29; Romans 8:26-28; Psalms 84:1-12.

Doubts Will Not Alter Your Faith, Even with Today’s Secular Turmoil, If You Focus on the Resurrection - the Means of God’s Grace
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
If Jesus had not been raised from dead, our faith would be misplaced. The Resurrection is your means, through God’s Grace, for the forgiveness from your sins. In Luke 24:25-26, Jesus reveals Himself, after His Resurrection, to Cleopas on the road to Emmaus and summarizes the criticality of the Resurrection to God’s plan for His Kingdom: “He {Jesus} said to them, ‘O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?’”. The Anglican Book of Common Prayer posits in its A Prayer of General Thanksgiving: ".:. but above all for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ, for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory . . .". The Resurrection Critical to our Christian Faith.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Procrastination. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Self-Control. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): 1 Corinthians 15:14; Luke 24:25-26; Psalms 86:1-17.

Followers of Jesus Pray to God, the Creator of the Universe, as Their Father Asking Him for His Counsel
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
God is your Heavenly Father and the Creator of the Universe; however, you can talk to Him as your father. Remember, He loves you. Imagine climbing up into God’s lap and Him wrapping His arms around you. God is God your loving father. As God tells you in 2 Samuel 7:14-15: “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men, but my steadfast love will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you.". You need to start talking to God as the best dad there could ever be. Talk to about your life; your concerns; and your needs. You need to ask Him for His counsel, and you need to ask Him questions regarding His will for your life.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Past Failures. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Grace. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Romans 1:7; Matthew 6:7-15; 2 Corinthians 6:18; Psalms 83:1-18.

The Enemy {Satan} Is Always Attempting to Destroy Jesus’ Followers’ Relationship with God
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
The enemy {Satan} comes to destroy the fruit of the Lord's field. The enemy comes only to kill, to steal, or to destroy. In Matthew 13:39, Jesus explains who “the enemy” is: “and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.". You always must be alert for the presence of the enemy in your life -- he never sleeps; and he is always attempting to mess you up. In John 10:10, Jesus explains the fundamental difference between Himself and the enemy: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.". Foremost, the enemy is attempting to destroy your relationship with God.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be anxious. (Philippians 4:6f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Matthew 13:39; Luke 10:19; John 10:10; Psalms 85:1-13.

Jesus’ Followers See Him as Their Only Way to Eternal Life, but the Door to Make Jesus Their Lord Is Narrow
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
In John 14:6, Jesus says: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one come to the Father but through me.”. In Luke 13:23-25, Jesus is asked a pivotal question; and Jesus responded: “And someone said to him, ‘Lord, will those who are saved be few?’ And he said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’”. It is not that Jesus does not want all to be saved, it is just that the “gate”, to our Salvation and Eternal Life, is “narrow” and difficult to enter. We enter Eternal Life through Jesus and Jesus alone, and so many miss this fundamental tenant of our Christian faith; and they miss knowing Jesus – Jesus is the door, the narrow door. Neither Islam, nor Hinduism, nor just “my personal religion” is the door – Jesus is the only door.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Compulsions. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Patience. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): John 14:6; Mathew 3:1-3; John 4:1-5; Psalms 33a:1-11.
