Are You on the Road to Personal Destruction?
Saturday Aug 04, 2018
Saturday Aug 04, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: God has told us that we are His children and citizens of Heaven. God has given us the Holy Spirit as a pledge of our inheritance as His children. Also, God gave us the Holy Spirit provide us with the power to live Spiritual lives. However, far too many of us continue to live and to act as “enemies of the Cross of Christ” by having our mind focused on earthly things and our belly as the lord of our life. If this picture of life actions and focus describes you, then you very well may be on the road to destruction. If so, then return to Jesus and His way of doing things -- His pattern of discipleship, servanthood, and submission. Paul, in Philippians 3:18-20, defines an “enemy of the Cross of Christ: “For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.". Have your life focus driven by the realization that we are His children and citizens of Heaven; therefore, we and our lives are all precious to God since He sacrificed so much to adopt us as His children.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will seek God’s perspective on my situation. For I know that in all things God works together for good to those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (From Romans 8:28).

Are Some “Christian Institutions” Becoming Godless?
Friday Jul 13, 2018
Friday Jul 13, 2018
Message Summary: Certain men, whose condemnation was written about long ago, have secretly slipped in among us (i.e. into Christian institutions); they are Godless men who changed the Grace of our God into a license for immorality and denied Jesus as the Christ. In the Parables of Mathew 13:19, Jesus tells us: “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.”. Jesus’ “Parable of the Sower”, in Mathew 13:18-23, applies to us and offers us a challenge to live the Christian faith, or not? Before His Ascension, Jesus instructed His Apostles, and us, in His Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20: “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”. Are we going to follow Jesus and obey his Great Commission to “make disciples”, or not?
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Insensitivity. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Gentleness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

God Awesome and He Takes Care of His Own!
Tuesday Jun 26, 2018
Tuesday Jun 26, 2018
Message Summary: Isiah says that God is the awesome God that put it all into effect by creating everything. Even though God is so awesome, In Isaiah 64:11-13, Isiah relates God’s disappointment in being snubbed by His chosen people, the Jews; but how pleased He is with being welcomed by the Gentiles: “’But you who forsake the LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny, I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter, because, when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen, but you did what was evil in my eyes and chose what I did not delight in.’ Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame.’". He takes care of His own. Those who wait upon the Lord will not be disappointed. Malachi relates, in Malachi 4:1-3, God’s support those who fear His name and who will be spared as He punishes evildoers: “For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the LORD of hosts.".
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Despair. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Joy. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Many Christians Live Just Like the Unbeliever Next Door
Friday May 18, 2018
Friday May 18, 2018
Message Summary: In our non-Christian behavior: we are mean; we are angry; we are judgmental; and we are selfish and self-centered. Also, in our non-Christian behavior, we are often in bondage to debt, drugs, and extramarital sex. In all these behaviors, we are not different from the unbeliever next door. We need to ask ourselves: “Am I being faithful to Jesus Christ; what needs to change in me and my life; and how am I disobeying the Lord?”. God has promised us that, even though our lives become enmeshed in sin and without our relationship with Him, God will return to us if we return to Him as God promised in Zachariah 1:3: “Therefore say to them, Thus declares the LORD of hosts: Return to me, says the LORD of hosts, and I will return to you, says the LORD of hosts.”. If enough of us get serious with God and return to Him, then God will heal us and this land.
