Jesus Instructed: “As You Go”- Are You “Going” So People See Jesus In You?
Tuesday Apr 16, 2019
Tuesday Apr 16, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Paul, in Titus 3:4-8, powerfully lays out that we, as Christians, receive our Salvation through our faith and God’s Grace; however, we are given the opportunity to mirror Jesus in our actions and works: “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.". What would happen, if the next time you are in the grocery store, you see a young family in need at the register and you pay their bill? Or, what would happen if you paid the bill of a young family in line behind you at a fast food restaurant? Or, what would happen if you got in your car and visited the shut-ins living in your community? Or, what would happen if you went next door and actually met, got to know, and helped your neighbor? If we want to be real Christians, then we need to follow the “Great Commission” set forth by Jesus, for us, in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”"
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Addictions. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Self-Control. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

God Saved You so that You Can Be His Ambassador to Others
Friday Mar 15, 2019
Friday Mar 15, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: While blessing you so that you might be a blessing to other people; God has healed you so that you might bring God's healing powers to others. God has saved you so that you can be His ambassador to others. Jesus commissions you, as He commissioned His Apostles just before His Ascension, in Matthew 28;19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.". The Gospel is the answer; but, often, you keep this answer to yourself by not speaking and by the way that you live your life and communicate your faith. Walk the walk; talk the talk; and share Jesus with other people. Peter tells you, in 1 Peter 3:15, how you are to witness with the Gospel’s answer: “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.”.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Inconsistencies. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Faithfulness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Share God’s Word Through Your Personal Relationships
Friday Jul 06, 2018
Friday Jul 06, 2018
Message Summary: We share the Word of the Lord with people that we know. We open stories of our life situations; and the people we know, with whom we have relationships, will ask us questions. From these conversational questions comes a natural discourse about our relationship with Jesus in our lives: “Because I am a follower of Jesus . . .”. In Mark 5:19-20, Jesus was very explicit that we are to go to our “friends” and tell them of Jesus’ good news: “’Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.’ And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marveled.". Go; make Disciples!
