In a World of Hurting and Troubled People, How Are You Blessing Others?

MESSAGE SUMMARY: God has blessed us so that we might be a blessing to others, and He has healed us so that we might provide God's healing powers to others. He has saved us so that we might be His ambassadors - we are in a world of hurting people, and we have the answer; but we keep it to ourselves in the way we live and in not speaking about Jesus. Isaiah prophesized, in Isaiah 11:1-2, about the coming of the Christ five hundred years before Jesus birth: “There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.". In 1 Thessalonians 5:3-11, Paul is telling us that the un-Godly will be taken away to their judgment and the righteous will be left to enter the Kingdom. Therefore, the primary message of Advent is to keep serving and watching. We must keep doing what the Lord has given us to do while we are serving Him, watching, and keeping ready. Walk the walk and share Jesus with others.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Self-centeredness. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Love. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
