In this Polarized World, as a Follower of Jesus, You Are Expected to Be a Reconciler
Wednesday Oct 31, 2018
Wednesday Oct 31, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Paul, in Romans 5:11, explains that we are “reconciled” through Jesus the Christ: “More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.". God, through Jesus the Christ, gave us the ministry of reconciliation. In Jesus, God was reconciling the world to Himself and not counting their trespasses against them. God entrusted us with the message of reconciliation; therefore, we are “ambassadors for Christ” – we are implored, on behalf of Christ, to be reconciled with God. Blessed are the peacemakers.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I can do what He asks of me. (Philippians 4:13). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).

How Are You Dealing, in your Daily Life, with the “Enemy”?
Tuesday Oct 30, 2018
Tuesday Oct 30, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: The enemy is always at work seeking to destroy the fruit of the Lord’s field and your life. In John10:10, Jesus tells us: “The thief {enemy} comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”. In 1 Peter 5:8, Peter tells us more about our enemy who is always with us: “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil {enemy} prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”. Continue to remember that the enemy is always attempting to mess you up and to destroy your witness. Also, the enemy is always attempting to destroy your relationship with God and to get you to reject God. The enemy does his evil in subtle ways, but his purpose is clear -- the enemy wants you off the right path. The enemy is always at work, and he never sleeps.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Addictions. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Self-Control. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Are You Permitting the Holy Spirit to Work God’s Purpose in Your Life?
Sunday Oct 28, 2018
Sunday Oct 28, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Where is God’s involvement in your life? God’s “life interventions”, in your life, can provide either a success or a setback. For example, we lose a job; or we get a job. God can turn our world upside down. It’s not that we have done anything wrong; it’s the Holy Spirit working out God’s purpose in your life. We need to hear what the Angels said in Mathew 1:20: “an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, ‘Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.’”; and we need to hear what Jesus said in Mathew 6:34: “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”. If we follow the lead of the Holy Spirit in all aspects and seasons of our lives, we can see the birthing of another miracle in our lives.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! (Luke 11:13).

MESSAGE SUMMARY: : Are our governmental leaders leading us off the cliff, or have they already led us of the cliff? The related uncertainty in our government, economic system, cultural institutions, and in our interactions with others have brought fear, anger and hostility to millions of Americans. As Christians, we can look to John 14:1 in which Jesus tells us: "Let not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me.". In times like these, we can be reminded of where our loyalties are and where our loyalties should be. Also, in times of uncertainty, our intimacy with God can be deepened -- God is still on the throne of the Universe. Isiah’s words from Isaiah 35:4, 10 provide you real comfort in the unrest and uncertainty today – take heed: “Say to those who have an anxious heart, ‘Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.’ . . . And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Inadequacy. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Abundance. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Despite Your Life’s Problems, Rejoicing in the Lord Will Bring You Joy
Wednesday Oct 24, 2018
Wednesday Oct 24, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Some of us and some of our acquaintances have gone through horrendous circumstances. Therefore, we ask, given these circumstances, how can we rejoice in the Lord? David tells us, in Psalm 30:4, to: “Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”. Paul instructs us for continuous thanksgiving in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.". To fulfill God’s exhortation “to rejoice always”, we can rejoice “always” if we keep our eyes on Jesus.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, Nothing compares with knowing Jesus. (Philippians 3:7f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).

America Can Return to God During These Tough Times, and He Will Bless Us!
Tuesday Oct 23, 2018
Tuesday Oct 23, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: In the Bible, we can find five exhortations, from the Lord, that are right on point for these tough times in America: 1) Do not fear; 2) Continue to tithe; 3) Get out of debt; 4) Help our brothers and sisters in need; and 5) Pray. The people in Malachi’s day were withholding what was God’s, and they were paying a price. But even in those conditions of sin, God said to the nation, in Malachi 3:7, “From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’.”. God does not change – God today is the same faithful Creator of the Universe as He was in the time of Malachi. Return to God, both as an individual and as a nation; and see how God will bless us!
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
