You Enter the Kingdom of God and Eternal Life Only through Jesus
Thursday Mar 07, 2019
Thursday Mar 07, 2019
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Jesus is The Door and The Gate by which we must enter the Kingdom of God. In John 10:9-10, Jesus tells us: “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief {Satan} comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." Also, Jesus said, in Matthew 7:13-14, that He was "the Narrow Gate", and whomever enters the Kingdom through Him will be saved and have Eternal Life: {You} “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.". This Lenten Season is leading us to Holy Week that brings us to the events, of about two thousand years ago, that provided us all, by God’s Grace, with access to The Narrow Gate, which is Jesus. Through Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins and His Resurrection, He has given us eternal life if we choose to enter The Narrow Gate.

The Real Miracle of the Cross Is for You, If You Accept
Friday Sep 14, 2018
Friday Sep 14, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: The real miracle of the Cross, today, is for those who enter a relationship with Jesus and know the presence of God in their life. Those taking advantage of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross experience the removal of their sinful guilt, and they know the joy of a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ. Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross is for all who believe. As Paul tells us in Romans 1:16: “For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.". Without God’s Grace through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and Jesus Resurrection, Christianity would have no meaning; and we would have no pathway to a personal relationship with God, in our earthly lives, and Eternal Life after our earthly death.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Heartlessness. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Kindness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, Procrastination kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

For Believers in Jesus, He Has Given Us Life and Life Eternal
Thursday Sep 13, 2018
Thursday Sep 13, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: By accepting Jesus, we can be born of the Holy Spirit and have our sins forgiven by His sacrificial death on the cross. Paul explains, in Philippians 3:9b-12, that Jesus “has made me His own”: ‘but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Straining Toward the Goal. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own’.”. Amidst suffering and loss; economic uncertainty; and family crises, we can still celebrate and rejoice because we know that He has given us life and life eternal. We know that God is with us and He will never leave us.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Resentment. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Compassion. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Without Jesus’ Resurrection from Death, Our Faith Is Useless
Monday Sep 10, 2018
Monday Sep 10, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: What does the Resurrection of Jesus the Christ have to do with us? Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15:13-14, summarizes the implications of Jesus’ death if His resurrection had not occurred: “But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.". Because of what God did in raising Jesus from the dead, we have forgiveness of our sins -- the crucifixion was not complete until the Sacrificial Limb, Jesus, passed over death and was resurrected. In Mark 16:16, Jesus tells the Apostles before His Ascension the implications of our belief or non-belief on our eternal life: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

MESSAGE SUMMARY: The purpose of Jesus’ death on the cross was to sacrifice Himself to provide us a sacrifice, God’s required blood sacrifice, for our sins which we could not do for ourselves. In Romans 5:18-21, Paul succinctly explains Jesus’ unique role, that only Jesus could play, in our Justification and Salvation – a role that begins with God’s Grace: “Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.". Jesus’ blood made His death, which He experienced for us, provide restitution; make atonement; and pay the penalty of our sins. Someone must pay for our sins – either we must pay, or Jesus does pay. If we pay for our sins, it means our eternal condemnation and alienation from God, If Jesus pays for our sins, it means personal forgiveness and an eternal personal relationship with God. Jesus death and Resurrection were for the forgiveness of our sins.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Hatred. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Love. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Thursday Aug 30, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: First of all, the moment you become a follower of Jesus, you have immediate Eternal Life; and you become a Citizen of Heaven. Jesus tells us, in John 5:24, that His followers have Eternal Life and are Citizens of Heaven here on earth in their earthly lives: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.". As Christians and Citizens of Heaven, we know that the Lord is coming back -- either to greet us when we die or before we die. For most of us, however, our vision of Heaven is clouded by looking backwards; therefore, the return of Jesus does not have any power in our life. Paul reinforces the return of the Lord of Heaven in Philippians 1:6: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.". When He returns, we will put on our spiritual bodies, as promised. As Jesus tells us in Matthew 4:17: “From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Inadequacy. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Abundance. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
