DEVOTIONAL VIDEO
MESSAGE SUMMARY:
His Promise of Forgiveness (Christ Cathedral, Kampala Uganda)
Jesus the Christ died on the cross for our sins. Through Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead and God’s Grace, sinners like us can have Eternal Life if we confess our sins and have faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We have the eternal life-changing message: Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins; His Resurrection that reaffirmed Jesus’ deity; and therefore, His power to provide us the means for our forgiveness and eternal life if we confess our sins and follow Jesus in the way we live our life.
After Jesus Resurrection, Jesus appeared to many people, including a group of more than five hundred, over a period of forty days. The primary messages of the Bible’s New Testament Epistles are Jesus’ death, Resurrection, and the power of the Resurrection.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will serve others. (Philippians 2:3f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).

MESSAGE SUMMARY: The purpose of Jesus’ death on the cross was to sacrifice Himself to provide you a sacrifice, God’s required blood sacrifice, for your sins which you could not do for yourself. In Romans 5:18-21, Paul succinctly explains Jesus’ unique role, that only Jesus could play, in our Justification and Salvation – a role that begins with God’s Grace: “Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.". Jesus’ blood made His death, which He experienced for you, provide restitution; make atonement; and pay the death penalty for your sins. Someone must pay for your sins – either you must pay, or Jesus does pay. If you pay for your sins, it means your eternal condemnation and alienation from God; without your eternal life. If Jesus pays for your sins, it means personal forgiveness and a personal relationship with God during your earthly life and an eternal life and an eternal relationship with God. Jesus death and Resurrection were for the forgiveness of your sins and all sins; for all people that chose God’s Grace through Jesus; and for all time,
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Inconsistencies. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Faithfulness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Why Is the Resurrection Your Means for Forgiveness from Your Sins?
Sunday Dec 02, 2018
Sunday Dec 02, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: If Jesus had not been raised from dead, our faith would be misplaced. The Resurrection is our means for the forgiveness from our sins. In Luke 24:25-26, Jesus reveals Himself, after His Resurrection, to Cleopas on the road to Emmaus and summarizes the criticality of the Resurrection to God’s plan for His Kingdom: “He said to them, ‘O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?’”. The Anglican Book of Common Prayer posits in its A Prayer of General Thanksgiving: ".:. but above all for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ, for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory . . .".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD’S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus Died for You and Your Sinful Nature
Tuesday Nov 27, 2018
Tuesday Nov 27, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Jesus died for you and your sinful nature. It is through the death and resurrection of Jesus that you are offered the forgiveness of your sins and an inner healing in your life. In John 10:27-28, Jesus reiterates His commitment to those who commit their lives to Him and are His followers: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.". Some Christians mess up because Christians, too, are sinners; but Jesus gave you a pathway out from the burden of your sins. In Matthew 26:27-28, Jesus, again, reaffirmed His commitment to His followers through the Holy Eucharist: “And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.’".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Addictions. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Self-Control. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

God’s Grace Has Given Us Eternal Life Through Jesus
Tuesday Sep 04, 2018
Tuesday Sep 04, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: We have eternal life through God’s Son, Jesus. When we do not have the Son of God, we do not have eternal life; but when we have the Son of God, we have eternal life. Jesus’ death and resurrection not only transforms our lives; His death transforms our deaths – the grave is no longer the end. Cancer is not the end and getting old is not the end. As Paul tells us in Romans 5:18-19: “Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.". Our decision for how we lead our earthly life determines both the end states of our remaining earthly life and our eternal life – either our lives are with God or without God.

Jesus' Crucifixion Is a Sacrifice for You Beyond Reproach
Tuesday Aug 28, 2018
Tuesday Aug 28, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: It is not with perishable things like silver or gold that your life is redeemed by God, as the Apostle Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1:3b-6a: “. . . he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice . . .". Your sinful life is redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus' sacrifice -- a Lamb without blemish or defect. Jesus fulfilled God's New Covenant, which like God’s First Covenant with Abraham, called for the blood sacrifice of a perfect sacrificial Lamb. This sacrifice, of the New Covenant, was fulfilled for us through Jesus' Crucifixion and Resurrection. Jesus, as described by Paul, in 1 Corinthians 11:24-26, instituted the Passover meal for us through the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Through Communion, we remember Jesus’ substituting His death for all our sins as Jesus’ sacrificed His life for our lives – Jesus, our perfect sacrificial lamb, the Pascal Lamb, in His words of the first Holy Communion: “and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, ‘This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.".
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection: Part 1”, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/
Message Summary: The purpose of Jesus’ death on the cross was to sacrifice himself to provide us a sacrifice, a blood sacrifice, for our sins which we could not do for ourselves. In Romans 5:18-21, Paul succinctly explains Jesus’ unique role that only Jesus could play in our Justification and Salvation – a role that begins with God’s Grace: “Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. Jesus’ blood made the death He gave provide restitution; make atonement; and pay the penalty of our sins. Someone must pay for our sins – either we must pay, or Jesus does pay. If we pay, it means eternal condemnation and alienation from God, If Jesus pays, it means personal forgiveness and an eternal personal relationship with Him. Jesus death and resurrection were for the forgiveness of our sins.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel. I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (including me). (From Romans 1:16).
