MESSAGE SUMMARY:
Most of us do not like to think about and/or plan for death, especially our own. However, Paul in, Romans 6:23, made your life and death position very clear: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.". As part of your preparations for your earthly death and eternity, you should take one time each year to evaluate and to reflect on your position for facing death and realizing your eternal life. You must identify those changes that you must make in your life and in your relationship with God. This preparation for your death will be a blessing for you and your family. Are you prepared to face our death? Will you have eternal life? What about those you leave behind – are you being a good steward? Also, what about your family; are they prepared for their earthly death and to receive eternal life? In Matthew 28:18, Jesus gave us His Great Commission for your life focus: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.". Have you followed Jesus’ Great Commission, for your own family by making disciples of your family members to your family can face their death with the certainty, through Jesus, of Eternal Life? If not, why not?

MESSAGE SUMMARY:
Easter -- I Am the Resurrection – (Holy Cross Anglican Cathedral; Loganville, GA)
We are bombarded with news reports, today, about death in all forms and from a multitude of sources -- our earthly culture, today, is a culture of death. This Holy Week and this Easter Day, God gives us the means of Grace and the Hope of Glory for Life. The Resurrection of Jesus contradicts our culture of death, and God's Grace, through Jesus’ Resurrection and life after His death on the cross. Jesus' Resurrection, gives us, today, a culture of life! In fact, Jesus tells us, in John 5:24, that we do not have to wait around for Eternal Life. Rather, from the moment, during our earthly life, that we begin following Jesus that we already have Eternal Life: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
Earthly death is a fact which we all must face. On the other hand, Jesus gives us his perspective on human death, earthly life, and Eternal Life (John 11: 25– 26): “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.”. However, for those of us that follow Jesus, earthly death is only the predecessor event for our Eternal Life. With your faith in Jesus as the Son of God and through God's Grace, you can live your life, both your earthly life and your eternal life, to their fullest with God as your Lord. Yours will be a culture of life even though the world is a culture of death.
He has risen! He has risen indeed!!
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): John 20:11-18; Romans 6:20-23; John 20:1-10; Luke 24; Acts 10:39; 1 John 2:1-2; 1 Corinthians 15:16-19; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Psalms 103:12; John 17:3; John 3:36; 1 John 5:11; Hebrews 13:8; Hebrews 13:5.

MESSAGE SUMMARY:
I am the Resurrection - Steve Jobs Quote Regarding His Death (Holy Cross Anglican Cathedral, Loganville, GA)
Steve Jobs contemplated his life as he Was dying. As you complete your Lenten journey on the way to the cross and Jesus’ Resurrection, today is a good time for you to consider your life, earthly death, and Eternal Life. Steve Jobs was a Billionaire, at his death; and he was the founder of Apple. Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) and, as God, the Creator of the Universe. From his death bed, Steve Jobs wrote his perspective on his life in comparison to his impending death.
In our Devotional Video today, Archbishop Beach provides a summary of these two different perspectives on living our earthly lives while always considering that our earthly death is inevitable. However, for those of us that follow Jesus, earthly death is only the predecessor event for our Eternal Life.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Despair. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Joy. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Becoming a Follower of Jesus Brings You Immediate Eternal Life
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
MESSAGE SUMMARY: First, the moment you become a follower of Jesus, you have immediate Eternal Life; and you become a Citizen of Heaven. Jesus tells us, in John 5:24, that His followers have Eternal Life and are Citizens of Heaven here on earth living their earthly lives: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.". As Christians and Citizens of Heaven, we know that the Lord is coming back -- either to greet us when we die or before we die at His Second Coming. For most of us, however, our vision of Heaven is clouded by looking backwards; therefore, the return of Jesus does not have any power in our life. Paul reinforces the return of the Lord of Heaven in Philippians 1:6: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.". When Jesus returns, we will put on our spiritual bodies, as promised. As Jesus tells us in Matthew 4:17: “From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be anxious. (Philippians 4:6f). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): 1 Peter 1:1-18; 1 Corinthians 11:23-27; Luke 22:20; Psalms 1:1-6.

MESSAGE SUMMARY: Be ready for the end of your earthly life and the return of the Lord. In 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2, Paul writes to the Christians at the church in Thessalonica: “Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, ‘There is peace and security,’ then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So, then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.”. Are you ready? Are you sure in your Salvation? If not, make yourself ready and keep ready!
