Often, We Christians Live Like Unbelievers; Will God Heal Us and this Land?
Thursday Nov 15, 2018
Thursday Nov 15, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: As Christians but in our non-Christian behavior: we are mean; we are angry; we are judgmental; and we are selfish and self-centered. Also, in our non-Christian behavior, we are often in bondage to debt, drugs, and extramarital sex. In all these non-Christian behaviors, we are not different from the unbeliever next door. Therefore, we are not very different from God’s people in the time of Hosea described in Hosea 11:7,10-11: “My people are bent on turning away from me, and though they call out to the Most High, he shall not raise them up at all . . . They shall go after the LORD; he will roar like a lion; when he roars, his children shall come trembling from the west; they shall come trembling like birds from Egypt, and like doves from the land of Assyria, and I will return them to their homes, declares the LORD.". We need to ask ourselves: “Am I being faithful to Jesus Christ; what needs to change in me and my life; and how am I disobeying the Lord?”. If enough of us get serious with God, then, perhaps, God will heal us and this land. When we, as both individual Christians and as a country, turn to the Lord, will we hear God’s call and answer as in Isaiah 6:8: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’”.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Lust. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Perfect Provision. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

In Many Cases, the Ten Commandment’s Publishing Is Being Considered Illegal
Wednesday Nov 14, 2018
Wednesday Nov 14, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: As a nation, we no longer teach or practice the Ten Commandments. We have made it illegal to post God’s Law to us, the Ten Commandments, on most walls of our courts and government schools. From a spiritual perspective, how can God, the Creator of the Universe, bless a nation which mocks and/or ignores Him? Paul, in Galatians 6:6-7, cautions both us, as individuals, and nations regarding the mocking of God: “Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”. From a practical perspective, how can a society and a government function when their foundation has been removed? Our form of government was founded on the ethical base of the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments were in the thoughts and cultural norms of the people that created our country.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, God is working His will in my life. (Philippians 2:13). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).

Are You Ready to Tell God: “Here Am I, Send Me”?
Wednesday Nov 07, 2018
Wednesday Nov 07, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Do you, like many Christians, see little, spiritually, going on in your life? Many Christians should be asking the question: “Am I ready for something spiritual to happen in my life; am I dressed and ready for service?”. Are you ready to say: “Lord, here am I; send me.”? The call of the Holy Spirit to you may be diverse: becoming a missionary in a third world country; to being a Christian business leader; to taking a stand for Jesus that is not politically correct. Can you be as ready as Isaiah when he said to God’s call, in Isaiah 6:8: “I heard the voice of the Lord: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said: ‘Lord, here am I; send me.’”? If you are not ready, why not?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, My life is about Christ. (Philippians 1:21). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).

In this Polarized World, as a Follower of Jesus, You Are Expected to Be a Reconciler
Wednesday Oct 31, 2018
Wednesday Oct 31, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: Paul, in Romans 5:11, explains that we are “reconciled” through Jesus the Christ: “More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.". God, through Jesus the Christ, gave us the ministry of reconciliation. In Jesus, God was reconciling the world to Himself and not counting their trespasses against them. God entrusted us with the message of reconciliation; therefore, we are “ambassadors for Christ” – we are implored, on behalf of Christ, to be reconciled with God. Blessed are the peacemakers.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I can do what He asks of me. (Philippians 4:13). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14).

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ I will seek God’s perspective on my situation5. For I know that in all things God works together for good to those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (From Romans 8:28).

America Can Return to God During These Tough Times, and He Will Bless Us!
Tuesday Oct 23, 2018
Tuesday Oct 23, 2018
MESSAGE SUMMARY: In the Bible, we can find five exhortations, from the Lord, that are right on point for these tough times in America: 1) Do not fear; 2) Continue to tithe; 3) Get out of debt; 4) Help our brothers and sisters in need; and 5) Pray. The people in Malachi’s day were withholding what was God’s, and they were paying a price. But even in those conditions of sin, God said to the nation, in Malachi 3:7, “From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’.”. God does not change – God today is the same faithful Creator of the Universe as He was in the time of Malachi. Return to God, both as an individual and as a nation; and see how God will bless us!
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

As You Go, Make Disciples
Tuesday May 29, 2018
Tuesday May 29, 2018
Message Summary: Jesus, in Luke 15:4-7, tells us, through His Parable of The Lost Sheep, the importance to God of our discipleship: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.".
Immediately before His Ascension into Heaven, Jesus told the Apostles, in His Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20,` as we go into our communities and into all parts of the world, that we are to make disciples: “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”. We must begin, as followers of Jesus, to meet His fundamental expectation for us by both going and making disciples!
Today’s Affirmation: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Despair. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Joy. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).

Our Country Has Always Been About “Freedom of Religion”
Tuesday May 08, 2018
Tuesday May 08, 2018
Message Summary: Our country is NOT about “freedom from religion”. Sadly, because of our abandoning God’s Laws, all of us in this country are affected – Christians and non-Christians; atheists; and followers of other religious faiths. As Jesus says in Mathew 5:45: “. . . For He makes the sun rise on the evil and the good, and send the rain on the just and the unjust.”. What can we do? The first thing we can do is pray and to fast – pray and ask God to turn our country around. We do want God involved, and He is involved. In Daniel 4:24-25, God told King Nebuchadnezzar, through Daniel’s interpretation of the King’s dream, that God is always in control; and that He determines those who govern us: “this is the interpretation, O king: It is a decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king, that you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.". God, the Creator of the Universe, responds to our prayers.

This Sunday’s Sermon: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Current Sunday Sermon: Contemplating the Mighty Acts – Palm Sunday and Holy Week, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.
Message Summary: A National Spiritual Awakening is needed not only to save souls from eternal damnation but to save our way of life. Our way of life is slipping quickly away from us. Our way of life is not just about elections and politics. The risk to our way of life relates to all of us. This risk will only be addressed by a change in our hearts, and the hearts of the people will not change until we have a true spiritual awakening. As Jesus tells us in John 14:1: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”. Additionally, Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 35:4: “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”.
Today’s Affirmation: Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

God Has Blessed Us So that We Might Be a Blessing to Others
Friday Mar 23, 2018
Friday Mar 23, 2018
Website Link: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/
Message Summary: God has blessed and healed us so that we might bless and bring God’s healing powers to others. God saved us so that we might be His ambassadors to others. God’s Message to Israel, in Leviticus 26:11-13, is the same message that He has for us, though Jesus, today -- “I am the LORD your God”: “I will make my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people. I am the LORD your God . . .”. There people all around us that are in such pain and agony, and God has given us the answer; however, we are prone to keep God’s answer to ourselves. We keep God’s answer to ourselves by not speaking; but we, also, keep God’s answer to ourselves, often in a negative way, by the way we live, act, and by the way we treat one another. Walk the walk and talk the talk, thereby, sharing God’s blessings and healing powers with others.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will seek God’s perspective on my situation. For I know that in all things God works together for good to those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (From Romans 8:28).
